Energy and Environment

CCURV has committed to ensure that environmental and sustainability objectives are achieved in accordance with the Council’s
own environmental policies. Further, through development projects CCURV will target investment in quality of place, creating
healthy, safe, sustainable communities to help attract and retain business and skilled people in Croydon.

In support of CCURV’s activities John Laing has retained certification to ISO 9001:2008 in relation to Quality Management and ISO
14001:2004 for Environmental Management. Further John Laing operates in accordance with the provisions of BSC BS25999 in respect of business continuity.

CCURV is participating fully in the Croydon Council Environment and Climate Partnership.

CCURV working with Croydon Council is formulating a District Energy Strategy for the town centre and looking at various management solutions such as forming an Energy Services Company (ESCo).
